100 Days of Nonviolence

Day 31

Opening Breath and Affirmation:

Take a deep breath and say, I will be Nonviolent by listening to what others have to say.

Quote of the Day:

"Ignorance breeds distrust. We cannot love what we do not know." –Joseph Allegretti, Professor of Law

Today in Social Movement History:

On February 14, 2013, the world made history together when 1 billion people did nonviolent direct action (rising, striking, dancing) to end violence against women and girls.  The movement continues again this year, today with mass marches, community art projects, and other efforts.

Nonviolent Word of the Day:

MASS MARCH – A large number of people walk in a group to a place of symbolic significance to protest an injustice.

Respond:

Write or draw about a mass march you saw or participated in.
